Man Utd’s exciting XI under Simone Inzaghi if Inter Milan boss succeeds Ralf Rangnick

Midfield: Fernandes, Brozovic, Fred

With Donny van de Beek, Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard all rumoured to make way before the start of next season, if not this month, Inzaghi could be left with a wholly different set of options to work with.

As a result, he could capitalise on previous links between United and Marcelo Brozovic, the 29-year-old Croatian who anchors Inter’s midfield to great effect.

Fred could offer solidity and energy on the left side, with Scott McTominay also vying for a spot in what could be a three-man midfield.

And Bruno Fernandes would be the leading candidate to complete the trio – not in his preferred position behind the attackers but still advanced enough to exert his influence on the rest of the side.
